At Southeastern Seating: Handrail Division, we specialize in fabricating Florida DOT Handrail for a variety of pedestrian and roadway applications. Our custom safety railings are expertly crafted for:

A Family Business
Trying Something New
Southeastern Seating was founded in 1984 when Gene Freeman and his son, Jerry, took a bold step into a new industry. After selling their family’s commercial textile business, they purchased a single truckload of 3,000 aluminum bleacher seats. The father-and-son team began providing temporary bleacher rentals for parades, sporting events, political rallies, festivals, and community gatherings across the Southeast. Gene managed the company’s operations and client communication while Jerry handled promotions and on-site execution. The duo quickly earned a reputation for reliable and exceptional service.
As relationships with event organizers grew, customers began requesting repairs to existing bleacher systems, leading the company to expand its services. Soon after, Southeastern Seating was contracted by major manufacturers to install permanent grandstands and bleachers. This evolved the company into a full-service provider capable of bidding, constructing, and installing new bleacher systems.
Expansion
Over the years, this family-owned business has grown to serve clients throughout the United States and throughout the Caribbean, while remaining committed to the same high quality, hands-on service approach that it was built on. In 2005, Jerry’s son, Nicholas, joined the company following his service in the Marine Corp. In 2010, his daughter, Katherine, came on board after earning her MBA. As Jerry is looking towards retirement, clients can rest assured of the family’s legacy continuing.
Today, Southeastern Seating proudly delivers quality craftsmanship and dependable service in temporary and permanent grandstands, bleachers, and Department of Transportation railing systems throughout the South.
